KUALA LUMPUR, 27 March – Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd – the operator of Rapid KL stage bus services and MRT feeder bus services – will restructure its bus routes along the MRT Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line (SBK Line) to further improve its service delivery, and connectivity and mobility for its customers effective 1 April 2018.
In a statement issued today, Rapid Bus said several Rapid KL stage bus routes would be handed over to the MRT feeder bus services to improve and optimize the deployment of assets and to enhance connectivity and mobility.
“This will be the third time the MRT feeder bus services take over routes operated by Rapid KL stage bus services since the launch of Phase Two of the MRT feeder bus network in July last year,” the statement added.
The initiatives to be carried out under the restructuring exercise are:
– Cessation of the Rapid KL bus routes 301 (between Hub Sri Nilam and Taman Midah), T771 (between Subang Bestari and Subang Perdana) and T800 (between Pelangi Damansara and Bandar Utama) from April 1.
– Route T305 (between MRT Taman Midah and Hub Sri Nilam) to be made a new feeder bus service in Taman Midah MRT station to replace Rapid KL bus route 301. The route will be extended to Entrance B, Taman Midah MRT station.
– Route T803 (between MRT Kwasa Sentral and Subang Suria) to be tweaked to cover routes served by Rapid KL route T771 (between Subang Bestari and Subang Perdana) and expanded to Subang Perdana.
– Customers traveling on Route T800 could opt for Rapid KL bus routes 780 (between Kota Damansara and Pasar Seni) or 802 (LRT Kelana Jaya and Kota Damansara) to Bandar Utama after the route cease to operate from 1st April.
– Minor realignment to Route T104 (between MRT Kampung Selamat and Kg Baru, Sungai Buloh) to cover the industrial areas along Jalan Baru, Sungai Buloh to meet the needs of customers.
– Rapid KL bus route T402 (between LRT Salak Selatan and HUKM ) and T772 (between Bukit Subang and Subang Airport) will be tweaked to connect Entrance A of Taman Midah MRT station and Kwasa Sentral MRT station after the routes are handed over to MRT feeder bus
services. Customers wishing to go to Subang Airport may board Rapid KL bus route 772 (between Subang Suria and Pasar Seni) or T804 (between MRT Kwasa Sentral and Subang Perdana) from Subang Perdana.
“Bus fares and operating hours remain unchanged,” the statement added.
