KUALA LUMPUR, 13 August – In its continual efforts to further enhance the quality of its service delivery, Rapid KL is providing special shuttle bus service in support of its monorail service, which is currently only operating with two-car train sets, up to 10pm on weekdays.

Beginning Monday (14 August), the shuttle bus service will operate non-stop up to 10pm in support of the monorail service between Monday and Friday except for public holidays.

Operating from 7am, the special bus shuttle service will travel throughout the monorail alignment from KL Sentral to Titiwangsa with stops at all Monorail stations at a frequency between 15 minutes and 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

On its return trip from Titiwangsa to KL Sentral, the shuttle buses, however, will not make stops at Tun Sambanthan and Air Asia-Bukit Bintang stations due to the one-way street alignment in Brickfields and Bukit Bintang.

“We will have notices on the locations of these bus stops for the convenience of the commuters.

Alternatively, commuters can refer to our staff at the Customer Service Offices for advice,” Rapid KL said in a statement today.

In the absence of its fleet of four-car trains that have been grounded due to passengers’ safety, Rapid KL monorail service is operating with 2-car train sets with a 20-minute headway.
