KUALA LUMPUR, 7 March – Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad introduces its own airport shuttle service that begins its service from Putra Heights LRT station all the way to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA & KLIA 2).

The airport shuttle service has begun its operation on 1 February 2019 with the aim to increase the connectivity and seamless travel for the passengers. The initiative was instigated by the Ministry of Transport with the objective to improve and enhance the public transport system. The launching is officiated by the Ministry of Transport, Yang Berhormat Tuan Loke Siew Fook this morning.
The combo ticket is sold at RM 10 and can be purchased at any LRT/MRT/Monorail and BRT counter. The combo ticket comprises of rail and bus tickets for a one-way journey. With this combo ticket, passenger is entitled to ride the LRT/MRT/Monorail/BRT from any station to Putra Heights LRT station and aboard the shuttle bus to KLIA or KLIA 2. The journey from Putra Heights to KLIA and KLIA 2 takes approximately 40 minutes, with each bus departs every 30 minutes.

Passengers who are from KLIA and KLIA 2 who wish to continue their journey on Kelana Jaya Line or Ampang Line can ride the shuttle bus that will ferry them straight to Putra Heights LRT station.

Putra Heights is chosen due to its strategic location, where it connects Kelana Jaya Line and Ampang Line LRT. People who are using our rail services can continue their journey impeccably to KLIA and KLIA 2, without having to drive their own private vehicle. This new service is deemed to be another good option and luxury for the people to choose from other than the current services that are being offered now.

By promoting Putra Heights as the public transport hub, it does not only bring benefit to Prasarana, but indirectly helps to act as a catalyst for urban development that is more effective and dynamic by providing business and commercial sectors around Putra Heights.
