SIMPLY APPLY ON-LINE FOR MYRAPID TNG CONCESSION CARDS

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 March – Qualified commuters need not travel to Pasar Seni bus hub anymore in applying for their MyRapid Touch ‘n Go Concession Cards.

Instead, they can conveniently apply on-line for the concession cards, which provide a 50 percent discount for the travels on Rapid KL networks – monorail, LRT, MRT Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line and its bus services including the BRT and MRT feeder buses.

“Commuters preferring to do face-to-face application at the concession card centre, however, are still able to do so at our Pasar Seni bus hub. Customers, however, are strongly encouraged to apply online for convenience,” Rapid KL said in a statement here today.

In applying on-line, the qualified commuters – students, senior citizens and those with certified OKU cards issued the Welfare Department – simply need to log on to Rapid KL official website at www.myrapid.com.my, and follow the simple, user-friendly instructions in making their applications.

While students include school children and college students of public and private colleges and varsities including foreign students studying in Malaysia, concession cards for People with Disabilities (OKU) and senior citizens aged above 60 years old are exclusively for Malaysians.

In submitting their application, applicants will need to include a colour passport size digital photo, taken against a blue background plus other relevant documents according to their group categories – primary school and secondary school students, college students, Malaysian senior citizens or People with Disabilities (OKU).

Applicants will also need a valid and active email and active phone number as well as a valid credit/debit card or access to online banking portal for payment of the card’s fee, which has been set at a minimal rate of RM15.

Full details on application for the MyRapid TnG concession cards are available at www.myrapid.com.my.
