KUALA LUMPUR, 12 January – In enhancing further customers’ convenience, Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, operator of Rapid KL bus service, will be restructuring its bus routes along the Cheras and Sg Besi corridors beginning today, 12 January 2019.

With the tweaking of the two corridors, Rapid Bus hopes to further improve its service delivery, and connectivity and mobility for its customers. “This would be the second launch after Ampang corridor on December 15 with eight (8) feeder services provided with timetables.

We are making adjustments, tweaking and restructuring of the bus routes along Cheras and Sg.Besi corridors following feedback that we received from commuters,” Rapid Bus said in a statement issued here today.

According to the statement, the initiatives to be carried out under the restructuring exercise for overlapping routes at Cheras and Sungai Besi corridors are as follows:

• Cessation of five (5) Rapid KL bus routes:

• Route 401 (KTM Serdang – Lebuh Pudu) shall be served by route 590.
• BET 2 (Bdr Sg Long – Lebuh Pudu); shall be served by route 590.
• Route 452 (Tasek Kesuma – Lebuh Pudu) shall be served by route T450. 
• BET 8 (Semenyih Sentral – Lebuh Pudu) shall be served by T450. 
• Route T584 (Desa Petaling – LRT Salak Selatan) shall be served by route 580

• Tweaking of six bus routes; where five (5) routes would be shortened and one (1) route realigned. With the journey is shortened and realigned, commuters may change their journey at the bus hub in order to continue their journey to the city center. The routes are as follows:

• Route 540 (Bandar Putra Permai to Hub Lebuh Pudu) shortened to KTM Serdang. Passengers shall switch to 590 to Lebuh Pudu. 
• Route T571 (Taman Sri Pulai to LRT Sg Besi) shortened to KTM Serdang. Passengers shall switch to 590 to LRT Sg Besi. 
• Route T582 (LRT Awan Besar to LRT Salak Selatan via Bukit Jalil) shortened to Kuchai Lama (The Leafz). Passengers shall switch to 590 to Razak Mansion. 
• Route T583 (LRT Awan Besar to LRT Salak Selatan via Taman Gembira) shortened to Kuchai Lama(The Leafz). Passengers shall switch to 590 to Razak Mansion. 
• Route 580 (Desa Petaling to Hub Lebuh Pudu via LRT Chan Sow Lin) realigned via LRT Salak Selatan. Passengers shall switch to 590 to LRT Chan Sow Lin. 
• Route 581 (Desa Tasik to HUKM) shortened to LRT Bandar Tasik Selatan. Passengers shall switch to T402 continue journey to HUKM
